'Just wanted to say what a wonderful camp site you have created & how many thoughtful touches you have included to make each individual's stay welcoming & comfortable. We particularly appreciated the spacious sites, the peace and quiet of the site and the extras such as the picnic bench & campfire pit. Such a clean site throughout.'

'This is a classy place to go camping. We stayed here for 4 nights with our dog and had a wonderful time. The Site is secluded and in a lovely location with great views and easy walks nearby. The main camping area for tents is grassed and appears well drained. The grass is kept well groomed. Most of the tent pitches are arranged around the edge of a large field, which very slightly slopes northeast towards the Dee estuary. Pitches are clearly posted, not overlooked at the rear and are essentially level and with plenty of room to set-up to your own taste. Each pitch has a wooden table with seating and firepit. There are two or three large trees near the Site entrance, but none in the camping area. (We don't like pitching under trees!) The Site's washing, cooking and toilet facilities are first class and all you would need. Electric hook-up is also available. Being a relatively small Site there is no shop. For basic bits and pieces (and newspapers) just 2 miles away is a shop. There is a Tesco in Kirkcudbright for everything else. Vodaphone mobile phones are useable here (5 bars in Kirkudbright - 1 or 2 bars on site). If you have a metal framed tent the signal does boost to 3 bars inside the tent. Can't comment on other mobile phone networks. The owners Neil & Patricia live on the farm nearby and were very helpful. The site is a credit to them.'
