Out and About

Solway View Caravan & Camping Site, is an ideal base from which to discover and enjoy the countryside and local villages and towns. The Artist Town of Kirkcudbright is always worth a visit. You can get there by following a fantastic coastal route, take the car or for the more energetic, go on foot or by bike. You can check out the Wildlife Park, go for a swim, Art Galleries, craft & gift shops. For the food supplies, we are lucky, the town has two buthchers shops, two bakers and a fishmongers as well as two supermarkets. Or, if you wish to eat out, there is also a great selection of cafes and hotels available.

Nearby is Cream O'Galloway, an organic farm. They have a wonderful outside adventure play area and an inside play-barn, catering for children of all ages. They have a fabulous selection of ice cream and a cafe with a great selection of meals/snacks. BIKE HIRE.

Fish Galloway
Dumfries and Galloway is a great place for salmon, trout, course and sea fishing. We are located near to Ross Bay and Brighouse Bay, both are fantastic for shore fishing and you can dig your own bait.
